Cyprus, balanced between Europe and Asia with its floating earth in the Mediterranean Sea a few kilometers from the Turkish coast. The historiography of the rich cultural influences, has made sure to have a rich architectural landscape, supplementing the wonder of the sea. Villas and Roman theaters, Byzantine churches and monasteries, Crusader castles and prehistoric sites mark this location as the cultural heritage of many cultures.
Its territory is characterized by two major mountain ranges, the Pentadactylos in the north and the Troodos in central and south-west of the island, offers a mixed view. Between the two mountain ranges lies the fertile plain of Messaoria.
As a crossroads between Asia-Europe-Africa the opportunity to meet the particular species of birds, in fact, is considered ideal for bird watching. And between species on the island are: vultures, griffon vultures, falcons and kestrels. The mammals are the most interesting: the megachirotteri, foxes, hares, and the hedgehogs. Among the animals of the island are at risk of extinction: the mouflon, the green turtles, caretta, and monk seals.
Floral distribution is well distributed throughout the territory with as many as 1800 species and subspecies of the 7% endemic. Towns with a strong influx of tourists organizing hotel meets the demands with good organizational skills.
