Part of the former Czechoslovakia, the Slovak Republic has come out of the 'Velvet Revolution' of 1989 with a more resigned than the elegant and somewhat 'ostentatious of the czech Republic and its capital, Prague. Slovakia has a capital city, Bratislava, a small and pretty, the surprisingly active cultural life, the High Tatra mountain range is a fierce as any in Eastern Europe, and villages are still evident character of a rural town. Slovaks are very open and welcoming, willing to take in four to appreciate their country, rich in history and traditions. May, June and September are the best months to visit the Slovak Republic, then, ready?
