The American Royal Caribbean was the brand new cruise CDF Croisières de France, dedicated exclusively to the French market. The new company will start work next May 2008 with a ship, the Bleu de France, units built in 1981 - under the name Europe - belonged to the fleet of the German Hapag-Lloyd and is currently serving as the Holiday Dream under the Spanish Pullmantur cruise brand, recently acquired by the corporation.
The Bleu de France, from 376 booths (over 750 passengers) - pointed out Royal Caribbean Cruises - will be subjected to an extensive restyling and a "cultural transformation" aimed to completely adapt the experience of cruising to the French taste. The work will cost 30 million and will involve the complete transformation of many public areas, booths, spaces dedicated to entertainment and restaurants.
