Rhodes is known for its beautiful traditional villages, to be the largest inhabited medieval town in Europe so much that appears in the list of UNESCO World Heritage site. The origins of the city of Rhodes is part of human history: the ancient city was designed in 408 BC by Hippodamia from Miletus.
